What is RAM?

RAM (random access memory) is a temporaray workspace on your hard drive, where the operating system, application programs and data currently being used are kept. Why do I need a RAM cleaner?

After being launched, the app’s icon will appear in the Menu Bar. Click on the icon and see the memory being used as a percentage or in MB (whichever you prefer).

Yes. You can set frequency depending on the memory usage, CPU usage and period of time you want the Memory Cleaner to free RAM up automatically.
You can also enable the option “Clean up the memory of large applications quit.”

Why is macOS designed in such a way that its memory needs to be cleaned?

The macOS system itself optimizes memory according to its standard gradual way. Some data gets cached, and it is kept in RAM memory. If the user needs to run memory-hogging applications, then the macOS system caching is a huge disadvantage. Junk files are temporary files created by apps when they run. They get stored in various system directories and can be even hidden from users. Although these files are not very harmful it is recommended that you clean them, as they can take up a great deal of memory space.
