VSD Viewer is a special app both for Android that enables viewing of Microsoft Visio 2000 – 2010 documents in .vsd, .vdx, .vsdx, extension. It supports basic features as well as specific ones: multipage documents, special Visio objects, etc.
Unfortunately, Android has specific restrictions for these XML extensions, so you firstly have to save files to the device and after open them with VSD Viewer from flash memory.
You can use the app on Android 4.0 and higher.
The app displays basics: different texts, embedded text, color, various lines width, lines with arrows, figures, images; works with tabs, multipage drawings. Users are also able to view some of Windows and Enhanced metafiles, Linking and Embedding Object, that are widely used in professional drawings like network diagrams or floor-plans.
No, basically, VSD Viewer works without Internet connection, since it processes files on a device, not converts your documents on remote servers. The only part that requires Internet – EMF / WMF images.
Probably, documents that take much time to open compering to others contain big number of EMFs or WMFs (Enhenced or Windows MetaFiles) – an image file format originally designed for Microsoft Windows. It is intended to be portable between applications and may contain both vector graphics and bitmap components.
Go to application preferences and enable “Extend Drawing Area” option.
